Pros

The company has a good scheme of bonuses and salary increases linked to length of service. Salaries are not the worst in the market.

Cons

'Show me the money' would be the phrase that summarize the values of Allianz Worldwide Care. Neither the interest of clients nor the staff's well-being are allowed to impede this company's frantic race for money. For a company that is part of the Allianz brand, I find it surprising there is such a high level of improvisation, lack of internal communications and poor strategic planning. From a professional development perspective, Allianz Worldwide Care is not a place for career growth, even less for those who show the merits or work hard. Only those with the right friends and the right nationality may get somewhere. The HR department is effectively a recruitment agency. In a nutshell: before applying for a job here, make sure you have exhausted all other possibilities. You are pretty certain to be better off somewhere else.

Pros

There are alot of good things about AGA. Management here has nothing to do with them.

Cons

Top management pays lip service about caring for employees -- it just raised the cost of my medical plan and for most of the other associates by nearly 20%. They did this right after the employee survey just to get good scores .

Thanks so much for your review. Like many companies, each year we spend many months reviewing our healthcare benefits, generally finalizing the decisions toward the end of September, which gives us time for communication and educational sessions before Open Enrollment begins in November. Those decisions take many factors into consideration—even when we stay with the same provider as we did this year. In 2015, we’ll offer two medical plans--the more traditional medical plan you mention, which indeed did have a premium increase that was absorbed mostly by the company. In addition, we’ll offer a high-deductible plan (HDHP), in which there was no premium increase (plus the company increased the contribution to the associated health savings account to help offset out-of-pocket costs). Companies are increasingly including HDHPs in their benefit packages, as they are cost-effective, efficient and help control rising healthcare costs for both associates and the company. If you’d like to know more about the options and how we make decisions about our Total Rewards package, please stop by the HR department any time.
