Pros

Working in Amadeus as a Software Engineer gives you lot to learn in the IT world. You will have to handle problem from the analysis to the development to the support. This is a great challenge! The company is composed from people from all around the world.

Cons

The company started doing business in the Mainframe era, and you can see that in the non-agile way of solving the problems and the often low-skills on new technologies in some colleagues. The infrastructure is old and not employee friendly, no colors, dark rooms, bad location....

Pros

Easy going, there are a lot of activities. Very international environment, a lot of interaction with different teams.

Cons

Technology is too old. The company is really big so it's really difficult to change anything. Final customers are hotels, air companies. This kind of company doesn't need innovation, just a system that works correctly and keep the data secured. Good ideas are lost inside mountains of papers and CMMI rules. If you enter through a service company, it's hard to build up any career path. Often, you career depends on the university you came from, at least in France.

- Market leader and very profitable company - Interesting industry (airlines & travel) - Nice location, in the forest of the South of France - Job for life - Many colleagues as friends

Cons

- Traffic in Sophia - Huge pressure to deliver, no plan, prioritization, or clear direction from management on what really is the priority - Priorities change on a daily basis - Nothing ever gets achieved unless escalated - Huge infighting between departments - SLOW and EXPENSIVE to deliver any new features to a customer - Bureaucratic - HR weak, no clear policies or tools for managers to work with their staff - Arrogant development, who deliver over priced poor quality code - The complete time wasting, and pointless budget process - Bonus system is pointless (difference between poor performer and top performer 4% in bonus)
