Pros

You get to work on new ideas and technologies

Cons

With hiring freeze and reducing team sizes, there is very little scope for growth, especially at L6 and higher levels.

Pros

Great company - gave me a chance and allowed me to excel. You will earn every penny they pay, but you will also learn a lot and never become stagnant. Adopt to the culture and you will succeed.

Cons

Amazon is big, and it can be daunting for new employees. You are expected to learn fast and will be sprinting a marathon. Work to find your pace and expect to work overtime first few months until you find your rhythm. A lot of success is dependent on your team. Invest time to support and learn from them.
