Pros

Good pay and medical benefits.

Cons

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO STAR I WOULD. Everything you read on the New York Times and CNN about abusing the management is TRUE. No work life balance AT ALL. You are expected to work 15-18 hour days. Management are hired and fired based on how well you and your boss get along. Because of the ranking structure, managers throw plot against other managers and throw them under the bus. Jeff Bezos must know what is going on because he is the one that initiated the 70-20-10 ranking system that all facilities MUST follow. Upper management micromanages. Feedback is taken as fact. Sr Managers promoting their best friends even though other managers are achieving better results. Majority of facility is Ex military so if you were not in some form of the military you will be segregated.

Pros

You will work with the brightest minds in the world. Highly competitive. Compensation is good.

Cons

I will not lie, Amazon is not an organization you want to finish your career with. Learn all you can , stay as long as you can and leave. You will be worth more on the open job market. Management is force to overlook care of associates and work life balance due to the demand to perform. This is happening at all levels of leadership. Amazon is not a caring environment. It all about performance. Know this before you join and take the signing bonus. It just the way it is. If this doesn't matter to you, and you are willing to work long hours for good pay, then Amazon is the place to be.
