Pros

- great benefits for health care and stock plans - amazing lateral transfer opportunities into other departments you may not have been qualified for if transferring to a new company - great development opportunities like certification programs that are paid for - the ability to have a high impact on the company within your role ie; large scale network projects, high impact cost savings initiatives - really cool corporate buildings that make working for a tech company fun and worth it

Cons

- teams are constantly changing; you never have the same manager for more than 6 months which is unfortunate when you find one you really mesh with and who believes in you and your development - it's easy to stay stagnant and not promote for 4-5 years - raises are being taken away due to stock plans - things move quickly; so large scale projects you could have been working on will have new defining KPIs that change your impact within 6 months of project conception
