Pros

Amazon pay is competitive with other tech companies in the area. Good place to build your resume if you are new to the industry.

Cons

Long hours, weekend work, low recognition.

Pros

Co-workers were very good at their job making problem solving easier. I was encouraged NOT to work crazy hours/weekends. My boss was very understanding and protected us from C suite politics. Most co-workers were easy to work with, responsive, and open to new ideas. It was easy for me to provide constructive feedback without triggering any conflict. Overall the team was motivated and great to work with. Pay wasn't bad at all. Please note I worked at Amazon Music, not the more "traditional" Amazon org's such as AWS.

Cons

Our product was eventually shutdown due to lack of customer use. The way the company handled the layoffs was lack luster and filled with "smoke and mirrors". Leading up to layoffs, senior leadership played coy and pretended they didn't know what was happening. To their credit, this was likely legally driven from Amazon Corporate.
