Pros

Ambitious Yet Achievable Goals Strong focus on Doing What is Right for the Customer over any other secondary considerations. Work-Life Balance (my building is a ghost town at 8pm)

Cons

Lip service to wanting outside influence to better processes. In reality they want someone to tell them their already doing it right. So quickly adapt and they will think your amazing.

Pros

- Working for one of the big 5 in tech - Learning how Amazon succeeded, ..... including Starting from the customer and working backwards - In my role I was exposed to product management in addition to technical leadership. This was useful for my career

Cons

- Only benefits is salary and health insurance. 2% 401K match.... Compared to all companies I worked for, 6, Amazon is the 2nd worst when it comes to benefits. - Unfair time load on DEV team when it comes to interviewing, with no ROI whatsoever. - Robotics culture. Clear carelessness about the human aspect of employees. Especially at the VP/SVP/CEO levels

Pros

There are really smart people at amazon, and we're the leader in Cloud Services. Every day is challenging and I'm constantly learning. I get to build and deliver awesome solutions to problems.

Cons

The Frugality philosophy can be a bit silly. Free food and snacks are standard at tech companies now, we should just make those available. Team culture can vary significantly, its important to find a team that is a good fit for you personally.
