Pros

Benefits, can transfer to a new dept. after 30 days if hired after Peak

Cons

Managers just want packages out the door & on the trucks. They work you like a dog. They play favorites, don't care the employees are not following the rules about cellphone & earbuds.

Pros

The job is exciting and challenging. You will never take those packages for granted again once you know what's involved in the process. My experience with managers and supervisors was overall quite good. Their job may not be the same as yours but they do a lot. Other than wearing closed-toe shoes and keeping your hair out of the way, there is virtually no dress code. You dress for comfort, period. I saw plenty of associates wearing bike shorts and a sports bra on the floor, so what you wear is up to you.

Cons

Amazon has exceedingly high standards, especially in terms of "rate" or speed. They do their best to be non-threatening during the first few weeks, so it comes as something of a surprise when you learn you need to go a lot faster. This is the reason seasonal employees are always treated well, but once the holidays (peak) is over, you need to prove yourself or move on.
