Pros

I actually really enjoyed working as a Customer Service Manager. The people are great and the amount of empowerment was huge. The ability to make changes and better the work environmet is so much fun. Management actually listens and it is great to see that change is embraced.

Cons

The work life balance is lacking. It is expected that you will work in the evenings on your lap top from home & weekends. I also do not like the forced ranking system that they have in place for employee evaluations. Even if those that you work with are mostly great everyone is forced ranked and pay raises are given based on that ranking. so basically you work your ass off and then may still be in the middle of the pack....especially because the bar is constntly raising. This can be a total moral hit after a long hard Q4 in retail. I found it very demotavating.

Pros

Challenging environment, which is changing from an enterprise level Biz dev environment into full on call center

Cons

Very political, where you feel like a cog in a machine. The management seems to think that tenured employees are very replaceable. Lots of political nonsense which creates a general lack of morale.
