Pros

- Smart colleagues - Interesting challenges

Cons

- Zero work life balance - No help from peers - Difficult onboarding - You will feel like an outsider till you spend at least 2 years in an established org. - If you're not familiar with the team tech stack, be ready to sacrifice weekends.

Pros

At least in my org, was never expected to work late or work weekends. Worked 11am-6pm, beer friday at the end of every sprint (2 weeks). Learned a lot about all aspects of software project delivery. Huge internal dev ecosystem thanks to the size of the company.

Cons

Company frugality shows in a lot of areas (no catered food, small stipend that you have to ask for for remote office). However, still better than most software companies, but probably not most social media companies.
