      Pro: Lots of learning, Con: Managers will burn you out

      Pros

      Lots of learning + working on problems at scale. Smart colleagues.

      Cons

      Managers suck + leadership are not so good. They cause almost everyone to burn out eventually. I've worked with almost 10 managers so far, and I can say that there is a clear problem with manager culture at amazon.

      Great place to learn cutting edge technology

      Cons

      Management constantly moves the finish line so that you never succeed. Hiring not at speed of sales and hence support is forever looking forward to better/less busy days. Customer rating system is flawed and support is held at ransom.

      Pros

      You could be fortunate and come across some really sharp, knowledgeable people from time to time.

      Cons

      Managers seem to care mainly about numbers, not people. Not everyone is treated the same; some staff members are favored, even when they perform poorly. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) is preached but not always practiced. In general, the majority of staff (at least from my experience in Enterprise Support) seems to be highly overworked and stressed a lot of the time.
