Pros

AWS has given me the flexibility and responsibility to be in charge of my success and provided a supportive team and manager to help at many points along the way.

Cons

There's a big learning curve and a lot of content to consume and master. I feel like I'm given plenty of time to work on absorbing and improving my skills. If you like learning and being customer focused then you will do well here. If you're more into working by yourself then it will be harder to thrive.

Pros

Annual adjustments - though they usually miss the mark vis-a-vis inflation.

Cons

They don't explicitly discourage it, but they also don't tell you that anyone they hire after you is probably getting a better rate. New hires after my first year were getting at least $1.50 more per hour
