Pros

Good builder tools which improves developer productivity.

Cons

Senior and mid level managers are fighting for promotion and there is too much bureaucracy which trickles down to developers. Company doesnt have a clue how to win the AI race and hiring/firing at the same time. A big shuffle is going on in the company so the job location is a hoax. They are asking to relocate on a short notice failing which will cost ur job. Equity promise is only on offer letter as they make very effort to not give u the stocks by asking u to relocate and giving bad ratings at the end of 2 years. No promotion for developers and the senior engineers make every effort to sabotage by rejecting change requests and making them later to get the promotions.

Pros

- Access to the best cloud - incessant drive for constant improvement *will* make you perform at your best - there are some super smart and passionate people at AWS

Cons

AWS does not care about anyone but their top 5-10% Give 100%, they'll ask for more At no point will your contributions be "enough" You'll always be worried about some performance review or being let go

Pros

- you may depending on your team get opportunities to work on latest technologies. Please note, not every team in AWS works on AI - good perks

Cons

- too many random changes - 5 days mandate is the worst one - removing management layer and making engineers managers - giving random promotions even to people who don't even deserve it to remove middle management layer - fooling employees with comp changes - changing people role without taking their consent (forcing them to resign) - too much politics - no work life balance - no freedom of speech - micromanagement - too much favouritism - Promotions are given if your manager writes a doc for you and offcourse that will happen if you are their favourite. You may get Top tier rating year after year but never be promoted - if you work here then you are not a human but just a number.
