Pros

There genuinely are people facing daily disasters that our work helps improve their situation by offering them guidance abs support.

Cons

National headquarters and distant managers have ridiculous expectations on the staff working on the ground. There are no boundaries. You can get called to work at 11pm, 2am, 5am, on your vacation days, weekends. You are on call 24/7/365. There is no respect of a personal life. Management is continuously in a struggle for who's on top and has the power. The Red Cross is money and image driven.

Pros

The people I worked with were great. Our union and rep was horrible.

Cons

They dont value you as an employee. You can be dedicated, have a wonderful employment history with the company and it doesnt matter to them. They show no loyalty to their employees.
