      Pros

      Loved the work I did of helping others and was very good at what I did; promoted within first 6 months of employment. Flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Department Manager at particular location was a terrible micro-manager and gossiped with other employees and subordinates. Pay was low due to business being a charity. No type of rule system such as employee handbook.

      Pros

      It all depends on what team you end up being on. The team I was on had a great team lead and supervisor. Building team unity and encouraging people to donate blood It is good to put on your resume that you worked for a nonprofit organization

      Cons

      The pay is absolutely terrible. I worked there just until I found the job where I am at now. There isn't any room for advancement. A lot of the people who worked there awhile are actually stuck there.

      Pros

      Great mission, some roles allow for good work/life balance (mine included). Co-workers are great at the local and regional levels.

      Cons

      Poor communication from management. Goals are often set unrealistically or arbitrarily and are usually very inflexible. General public often unaware of the nature of our mission and so have unrealistic expectations.
