Pros

Lots of opportunities for personal growth and the company values (even if not fully acted upon) lead to employee engagement and a desire to stay.

Cons

Overall, it is broker company mindset where margins are key. If you're in another group, investment or compensation to your group is likely to be secondary as other groups may be viewed favorably. Technology systems while improving, have serious gaps. Bonus funding is poor. Outdated real estate. Replaced bad coffee delivery with even worse coffee.

Pros

Senior management slow to change. Great environment to learn as much as possible about insurance/reinsurance industry and the convergence of capital markets into the space.

Cons

Very political, not much in the way of vacation/personal days, and could do better with little perks/benefits. Coffee is terrible.
