Things are getting tight in the overall US environmental consulting industry, and ARCADIS is dealing with the same market pressures as their competitors. With that backdrop, they offer excellent career path options for young employees that want to be accountable and take charge of their careers.

Cons

Senior management doesn't communicate very effectively. Cost controls are sometimes stifling.

Pros

Excellent diversity of engineering and environmental projects with solid technical expertise. Decent benefits. Good internal network for solving clients problems across the US.

Cons

Significant disconnect between management and ground level staff. Focused on the bottom line regardless of how this impacts employees and their outside lives. When an employee expresses concerns about the company's direction, the management team becomes openly hostile toward the employee until they leave the company.

Could be an awesome place to work. Company has a diverse portfolio of clients and opportunities.

Cons

Arcadis is missed managed. Has an extremely high focus on clients and reducing overhead. Employee retention is a lower focus for the company. Employees are miscommunicated to regarding companies goals and finances. Poor employee focus. Started declining after the acquisition of BBL.
