Pros
Great co-workers (working group, office environment); flexible hours; decent benefits; lack of geographic boundaries meant plenty of networking and project opportunities for the motivated staffer; interesting work; company maintained momentum through the economic downturn.
Cons
Aggressive billable goals detracted from project quality and led to some dramatic burnouts. Frequent neglect of smaller, innovative offerings in favor of unwieldy big $ projects. Some clear geographic differences in advancement opportunities, and overall lack of advancement opportunities for primarily technical staff (salaries not matching skill and responsibility level). Slow trimming of deadwood.
