I can honestly say as an employee of Providence Hospital, there is absolutely nothing positive that I can think of about my experience at this facility! It is a nightmare to work there! In other words, there is a lot of room for improvements in EVERY area at this place. Ascension Health needs to do an thorough investigation of management as a whole!

Cons

There is no employee advocate to help improve working conditions, so employee moral is horrible. There is no unity between employees. There is reverse discrimination. There is a very high turn-over of employees due to these conditions. Work here at your own risk!!

Faith-based healthcare. The values are well defined, however not lived.

Cons

Very limited career advancement and training opportunities. All upper level IT positions are filled from the outside. Large bonuses given to directors and above, however the employees are limited to 3% increases.
