Pros

The company has managed to maintain decent reputation in Australia.

Cons

1. Managers only care about taking the credit of other people's work. 2. Hiring decisions and career progression are based on quotas, not on accomplishment, competency or experience. 3. You only get to the top of the hierarchy if you are an anglo saxon white male. 4. Annual performance review is a gimmick. 5. They send people to project offices far from the main office, overload them with work, and make them invisible. Those who stay in these conditions have their careers ruined. These are the people who do the actual work. Those who are earmarked for leadership never leave the main office. 6. Extremely high turnover, people are treated like they are disposable. 7. The main office in Sydney is just a parade. Office politics, self-aggrandizement, presentations and talks on flashy projects by the managers who never leave the main office and never actually get to work on them. 8. Management is a mess. 9. The company does not care about the development of employees. 10. Company culture and values are just cheap indocrination. 11. Managers don't take responsibility, but take credit. 12. Did I say that management is a mess? The company is the result of a series of mergers gone wrong. In 2019 the demerger of the South African business was announced, only ten years after the merger. 13. Your contract does not have a job description. That's an excuse to have you do just any kind of work. 14. Low pay. 15. The only way to get a decent pay rise is to get an offer from another company. 16. False promises by managers. This company is a trap. My best day in this company was the day I left. Do not join the company. If you have already joned, leave asap. The longer you stay, the more you hurt your career.
