Run by management consultants who have never done any technical work in their lives. Underneath the hype and, lets be honest, only semi-glossy exterior, this is as old school an engineering firm as you will find anywhere that can be accessed without a time machine. Aurecon is a great example of how employee ownership can fail - The owners are an increasingly isolated bunch of old men whose only idea to grow and future-proof their company is to charge top dollar for under-resourced skeleton teams, who they think will work their butts off for no rewards and no hope of ever joining the owners club.
