Pros

good salary good benefits hybrid work

Cons

If you're considering a position in the digital marketing team based in Chiswick, tread carefully. its toxic environment is hard to ignore, and I tend to say, 'Nu iese fum fără foc' ('Where there's smoke, there's fire'). Many have left, switched teams, or taken sick leave due to the negative atmosphere. Staying will harm your career, stifle your ambitions, and reduce you to a mere 'yes man.' Personally, I'll collect my bonus in March and resign the next day-I can't wait to start a new chapter.

Pros

Competitive salary, above industry pension and bonus. On transformation journey. Multicultural and diverse, supportive of minorities. Limitless career development opportunities if you are internationally mobile

Cons

Hierarchical, cliquey, game of politics and favouritism. Very few true leaders at senior level. Slow decision making and poorly implemented change everywhere. Promotion depends on who likes you rather than merit and skill so can be hard for external recruits to succeed. Anyone who dare speak up are quickly managed out

Pros

The vast majority of junior people seem okay. Senior management is another story, however. The salary is higher than the industry average even for entry-level jobs.

Cons

- Insane hours - Back to back meetings during the day and having to do the ACTUAL work that I'm supposed to do during my evenings, weekends and non-existent spare time. No work-life balance. - The vaping division announced a 52% rise in profits and then not even a week later the company announced the biggest wave of cuts the company has seen in years. Really tells you something about how much the company values its staff. The senior management is determined to keep showing an increase in profits at the expense of laying off people and cutting resources. In other words, they are in lights switching off mode it seems. - Extremely disorganised processes. Nobody on the team actually understands the fundamental step by step processes needed to execute a project. It's frankly alarming. There is really no proper structure anywhere (at least in the vaping division) - POINTLESS Bureaucracy. Why do we need all these stupid meaningless forms that need to be filled out every step of the project? Why do we need to have so many alignment and pre-alignment meetings? WHY?! - The guys at the top are very clearly an old boy's club. -Lots of sucking up in meetings to senior management. Gross to watch. -Proper good old fashioned corporate machine.
