      Pros

      Compensation and benefits along onboarding financial support for new hires are very good. Might change under the new CEO.

      Cons

      Too traditional a business, short-sightedness in R&D, lack of visibility and career development plans, patchy HR and IT support. The HR in specific place among some of the worst I have ever dealt with. New CEO is bleeding the company dry for short-term returns, so expect no improvements in early 2020.

      Pros

      If you are lucky enough not to be fired in the dozens of restructurings taking place, there is some average job security.

      Cons

      Toxic everything, from product to work life balance. Burnout is not unheard of in BAT. It is however a taboo as if it it's employee's fault and it's a shameful thing. Don't fall for their employer of the year or top employer scam. I don't recall ever filling in a survey. If you are a HEC alumni please have the self-respect not to apply for an internship. This is not investment banking, apply for a proper role, not a role for kindergarten.
