Managers and high level executives are hard to satisfy. The expectation is always at highest and its mostly above what could be delivered. Sometimes hard work is not appreciated and could easily be ignored.

There is a toxic and mobbing work environment that can negatively impact people's health. Managers and some employees are constantly scheming, always reflect their own personal problems on the work. The value of employees and their opinions is disregarded. The workplace is full of people who try to undermine each other. The main issue, however, is that they consider themselves superior beings.

Significant layers of political mismanagement particularly within the back office departments. Back office functions lack clear direction and longterm strategy. Many senior managers appear more focused on their own job preservation than team or business growth. Back-office roles lack clear purpose or ownership as a large proportion of meaningful work is outsourced to Madrid, limiting autonomy and impact in London. Decision-making is slow and heavily centralised reducing innovation and accountability. Limited career progression due to unclear ownership and overlapping responsibilities.

pay was poor compared to the goals we needed to reach.

Most workers and specially L1 managers are quite old and reluctant to change. You may find a hard time being nominated as a top-talent, specially if you are young and new. Its kinda sad for me to see people that have beeen working for 10+ years and are ganinig the same salary since they started. As a non-software big corporation, their processes are quite slow, innefficient and too burocratic (literally 90% of the time is just asking clearance to the respective team).
