Management expects employees to make their lives about work. If you're on and NPD project you are pushed to promise unrealistic timelines and when those timelines are not met the fingerpointing begins. Additionally, employees are treated unequally. Promotion practices are incredibly unjust. Managers are not trained properly or are promoted to leadership when they have not met the minimum requirements of prior levels. The workload is unmanageable and ideally requires 2-3 additional people to be executed properly, however those resources are not provided and employees are set up for failure. If you are looking to be in marketing, I would look somewhere else because you essentially function as sales support plus.
