      Some of the managers are really nice,

      Cons

      They perform layoffs every year and tenure, loyalty, skills, experience doesn't matter. Everything is very segmented. You'll hear a lot of things like, "that's not my job" or more politically correct versions of that, "my team doesn't have the bandwidth".

      If you look hard enough you'll find something that could appeal to you.

      Relatively stable company although there are recruitment freezes and "reorgs" non-stop and senior management disappearing overnight.

      Pros

      As hardly anyone is tech savvy, you can pass your time doing nothing or spend time in higher study. They will not even know. If you can take the stress of talking your idiotic boss ( in most cases), then you should be good. In other words, if your IQ is more than 90, BD is not for you. For the average IQ folks, salary is good if you can negotiate.

      Cons

      Extreme level of politics, hierarchy is upside down. Higher you go in the chain, lower will be the IQ of people. But, they are also highly corrupt. Even the college projects are better managed than BD projects. If you are intelligent, you will get a taste of their professionalism during interview only. If you did not notice that, then this is a perfect match for you.
