Pros

People you work with are great people with the occasional very poor one as with any company, getting bonuses is nice and can be good most times better than big 4,

Cons

Very tollerent of poor supervisors, no mechanism for feedback on upper level and direct management or any care to find out, lack of giving credit to the right person beyond direct supervisor, after that it goes to the supervisor and the reverse is true where screw-ups get passed to those who the supervisor points the figer at.

Pros

Organization pursues a variety of new growth areas, which can lead to different role opportunities. There is a constant cycle of change on how teams are structured and operate, so that does allow for a variety of different experiences and learnings.

Cons

You may notice there are a decent amount of individuals who have been there either for decades or only a couple of years. I found out this is because the leadership is rather insular and they grew up together in the organization. They generally take credit for positive things that happen and then blame new people for the things that don’t go right. As such, you might use the organization as a stepping stone for a brief time, but there is so much risk that most newer individuals either leave the organization or are eventually used as a scapegoat and forced out of the organization. There is an underlying culture of fear in the organization, and if you are not fully aware of it at first, it’s because unfortunately, many of the individuals are not transparent, and despite appearing kind or generous, are only too willing to use newer individuals as a scapegoat when times are tough to protect themselves. It was the only organization I’ve worked for where no time of the day, nor holiday was off limits - be prepared to be available 24/7, for many roles within other organizations where they would never expect such.
