Good experience, various industries, public and private clients. Name recognition, opportunities to work on special projects. Small office, ability to receive decent training.

Cons

The company is stagnant. There is disconnect between the upper management and the staff/seniors. Cutthroat environment permeates the company culture. Lots of work, few benefits.

Disrespectful management Bullying by managers accepted behaviours and encouraging misstreatment among employees Low tiered clients which do not fit into 6th ranking in public practice whereas Grant Thornton has better profiled and quality clients. Despite the fact being in the centre of oil and gas headquarter of Canada, not even tier 2 oil companies want to do rely on BDO.
