Passive aggressive in Plano office

Pros

Peers, catered lunches on occasions

Cons

Management, HR, constant turnover with regular firings of good people. “Walk on eggshells” environment. Little to no training or direction for new hires which HR is aware of. Akin to Blackberry reputation in how they treat employees. DFW has too much opportunity to waste in a repressive, passive aggressive environment. Pay is well below industry average for all departments. I was given a measly 2.5% raise after a stellar review and working weekends regularly. If you like corporate politics, red tape and strive to fit in to a closed boys club, BRP is for you.

Thank you for sharing your experience at BRP. New organizations take time to find their feet, and our Plano office, opened in July 2018, is no exception. We're very sorry your time with us was less than excellent, and that you felt unappreciated. We value highly the passionate commitment of all our employees, and strongly believe we draw our strength from it. We have taken steps to help our Plano colleagues better manage change of all kinds.

Pros

There is a culture of collaboration and dedication, with a standard drive for success. The company cares about its employees and expects the same in return. With offices all over the world there are opportunities to experience different cultures and use these experiences in your role. The new office in Plano is taking shape, people are excited to go to work, there is a unique culture of passion and drive that sets the BRP offices high above the rest.

Cons

There is no employee handbook to doing the job, for some, this is not the way they operate. For others, it’s an environment to thrive in. It is hard to tell who will truly thrive before they begin, so this can be a risk.

We're very happy to hear your experience at BRP met your expectations and our own. When we recently defined the values that bring all BRP employees around the world together, we distilled them into Passion, Drive, Ingenuity and Trust. It is truly gratifying to see these values reflected in your description of the company. Collaboration is built on trust. Dedication is a result of passion. Drive makes things happen. And ingenuity throws away the rule book. As we expand around the world, these values will continue to guide us in our efforts. Thank you so very much for sharing.
