Pros

Good benefits package. Great and innovative products. Funny work environment Good culture and values at this time, but not sure in the future

Cons

Salaries are now low to average. CEO (under pressure of shareholders) has decided that 60% of canadian workers were too much paid. So for a good part of us, our wage is frozen for a decade! Overtime is not paid. Growth of the company passes only by Mexico or other countries with cheap labor. No progression plan or opportunies for mid-level employees.

Pros

Nice peers and innovative company

Cons

Management unqualified and lacks integrity. Most management jobs are still in Quebec, managers in Plano are only puppets to them. Lots of politics that impact employee moral and creates a stressful environment. "Treats employees like morons." "Lots of stress between the Quebec vs Plano office." "being a canadian/french company they always favor their local teams more than american jobs." "The US is your biggest market so start acting like it and stop treating us like morons." - Zero opportunity for advancement if you are not old college friends with management. Promotions & bonuses are based only on the "buddy system" & nothing to do with performance = no incentive to excel. - French-only mentality. Global markets are ignored, underfunded & mismanaged. Management pays themselves useless, superexpensive International business trips with zero understanding of foreign markets instead of working with a local experts. - Rampant & noticeable racism. If you're not French & not upper management you'll be treated like a second-class citizen. - No innovation in systems & processes cause everyone knows each-other & thinks the same way & no one is willing to take risks or see what other companies are doing & try something new.

Thank you for sharing your opinion of BRP. We're sorry to hear your experience did not live up to your expectations. You are correct that we are a French Canadian company with upper management based at our head office in Quebec. They are supported by many local experts around the world, managing our sales and manufacturing activities. All these people are answerable to our shareholders around the world, who have invested on the Nasdaq and Toronto Stock Exchange. Your feedback helps us understand how we can further improve conditions for all our employees, so they feel treated equally and can fully express their passion and achieve their goals.

Pros

* Decent enginnering and bonus plan if you're in upper management

Cons

being a canadian/french company they always favor their local teams more than american jobs. they moved a lot of jobs from Canada to the US for show but none of them are management jobs; all the brass stays in Val Court. Always bashing americans in conference calls and making snide remarks and "jokes" about America.
