Work Needed To Be Done

Pros

Great learning experience for recent college graduates and new hires. Company is growing and looking to expand into new markets. Access to a large network of industry experts across the firm.

Cons

Management sets unrealistic goals and lacks in organization and communication when planning client engagements and scheduling staff/seniors on those engagements. Work is not evenly distributed by management to staff/seniors, resulting in staff/seniors being questioned as to why charge hours are down. Promotion policy is unclear and inconsistent with many experienced hires coming in from other firms restricting current staff/seniors from being promoted . Work/life balance is nonexistent and firm culture has suffered from the amount of turnover over the last few years.

Pros

The best part about being employed at a growing company is the opportunity for growth and development. Work always found its way to those who performed well.

Cons

The downside to working for a growing company is the lack of reward and compensation. When you delivery the desired results you should be compensated accordingly.

Too much office politics

Pros

Used to be a great place to work and I gained a lot of on-the-job experience and worked with a lot of good people that created the firm from the ground up.

Cons

I worked there for almost 30 years and was let go two years before my retirement. Too much office politics. A few people have a hand in everything and if they don't like you, they work to get rid of you. If you bring a problem to light about a partner, it's not well received and I feel eventually leads to termination. They expect loyalty from their employees but are not loyal to their employees in return. No recognition whatsoever for length of service. Seems they feel employees are dispensable, there's always someone else ready to step into you job; however, it can eventually lead to a bad reputation.
