Ability to work remotely during COVID.

Cons

Toxic managers across all functions make decisions based on personal relationships instead of qualifications. No work life balance due to early morning and late night meetings. Hierarchical decision making.

Most people seem generally nice. They try really hard to make the most of a challenging situation.

Cons

The levels of hierarchy to get anything approved is mind numbing. The late night and early morning meetings are not worth the pay when you add in the lack of experience and politics you have to deal with . There are many more options that pay equal or higher. The China team is completely in charge but the experience level is not the highest so this can lead to frustration and additional work. It is a somewhat toxic culture. There is infighting and some immaturity. Also you will notice a lot of panic driven managers…maybe due to lack of leadership experience. I am convinced the company is designed to teach the China team how to operate pharma in the US and rest of world and that is not a bad thing but it is a time consuming charge.
