Challenging and exciting work. Fast paced. Quality employees. Great proprietary systems. Top notch facilities. Good location locally. Respect given to all levels and departments.

Cons

Too fast paced at times. Work life balance issues persist. Global model makes for work seemingly 24/7 at times depending on role and department.

Cons

BlackRock acquired a competitor in December 2009, so they're still working on ironing out the kinks. That said, progress is being made, and it's a good place to work.

compensation determination not transparent, also does not seem to be based on the performance review process given timeline. few good middle managers. good model but many unsatisfying employee roles for the talent base
