Pros

Large processing machine. Does passive like no other AM on the planet. Great brand which they invest in Larry is great but should be more involved in the business. He doesn't see everything.

Cons

Schlocky active business and cannot do Alts. Paranoid culture focused on protecting its passive business. All business decisions centred in NYC among a few people making it hard to get things done.

Pros

Brilliant people. Fantastic reputation. Grew from zero. Founders still present. Solid systems. Aladdin/BRS reputation. Attitude/confidence/arrogance.

Cons

Company getting larger. Bureaucracy becoming stifling. Hard to get things accomplished quickly. Hard to get recognized. Compensation leveling off. Hard to get paid if you've 'grown' there.

Pros

Few late nights and weekends. Lower management seems to understand that people are unhappy. Most lower management seems to want to improve the toxic environment.

Cons

It is a horrible environment. It is difficult to get work done with constant interruptions and 25% of your time spent doing paperwork. People are always in a bad mood and there is a lot of bickering and scapegoating.
