Buy out led to horrible cultural change. Definitely no longer a top company to work for in the SF Bay Area.

Good company to work at if your goal is to gain financial services . If you can land a Director level role or higher the bonuses are great.

Cons

Arm chair/hierarchical/top down management style by East Coast baboons. In the buy out they brought nepotism and increasingly incompetent east coast workers into strategic management roles.

Blackrock fails to empower -destroys value

This is a big firm, so expect a reasonable magnetic effect. Probably looks good on a CV, but that's it.

Cons

East coast NY centric. Failure of management to empower smart people, unbelievable destruction of trust and and value. NO attempt to engage previous BGIers who were some of the smartest people in the industry. Lied about remuneration process and bonus payments
