Pros

Lunch hours are quite acceptable

Cons

Local staff tend to have mediocre English skills, despite some staff members having completed their degrees abroad. Office gossip/politics is abundant. Hourly pay rate is not in line with market average. IT equipment is outdated. Screening process takes forever depending on position. Mundane tasks set for employees, limiting their willingness to build a within the council. Huge lack of young talent, 'old buttocks' dominate the department. Overt racism and bullying towards other staff (teachers, IT, etc)
