Pros

General job security, people don't tend to get fired. Emphasis on family atmosphere in the teams. Bare back benefits. Flexible hours.

Cons

Cemex is essentially a family business that grew to global scale and forgot to adjust their culture. Extremely top heavy, management is hit or miss but they all know to protect their image at all costs. HR run the show even as far as dictating what someone should and shouldn't be given to do for their daily work- scope definitions? job descriptions? operational best practices? What are those? It's extremely intrusive and disruptive to operations without fail. A lot of political agendas clash, especially across geographies, no one can seem to agree on anything; meanwhile, sales continue to plumet and perplex senior leadership. Accounting is creative but even their numbers magic can't keep the poo under the rug for much longer. Best part: they spend millions on consulting firms to help them turn the ship around, only to receive a strategy so elementary you can just Google it. But leadership is happy and hopeful the brand new stuff is gonna work.

Pros

There are no benefits to working here

Cons

Poor leadership which do not follow rules. Company does not have any core values and the culture is poor. If you are not part of the 'in' group you will be sacrificed. This is a poorly managed operation with no room for advancement.

Pros

Small Corporate Office, so you have access to upper management and get to sale yourself easily. Care about employee safety

Cons

It's a family company, no matter the global presence or the revenues of the company. For career development, you have to be well connected and always keep in mind that the position you would like to apply for, can we assigned to somebody's relatives from Mexico. US President lack of interpersonal skills, even has hard time addressing the company. My humble opinion, find another place to work. They are 2 CEMEX, the ones for the well connected people and the other for all the John Doe's
