Really can't think of any!

Cons

Had to call tape every night at 6:00 Pm. to get start time for next day, many times after you got in at your scheduled time you were sent home! Truck boss would tell a person one thing and do something entirely different. They have been trying to get rid of union employees since the company was bought from Rinker, have union and non union plants and put a gag order in effect so that union employees could not speak with non union employees! Supervision refuses to try to work with employees! Company went from one of the best places I ever worked when it was owned by Kiewit & Sons, United Metro Materials, etc. to the worst place I ever worked when Cemex bought it out and I worked there for many years!

Good for a few years (3-4) but job becomes too repetitive if you don't take any opportunities within the company.

Pros

Good benefits, depending where you work you boss can make a difference, Good bonus compared to other positions. It is better to work near of for the Corporate office.

Cons

Big company that goes through a lot a changes very often (personnel and policies). Cannot really get promotes unless you are in business or operations and you know the higher ups. Top management is in Mexico. USA corporate in Houston.

Pros

Cemex had good benefits, and they tried to hold on to their best people even through the downturn.

Cons

When the economy was slow, it was looking like someone would have to die in order to move up.
