Pros

Work from home (depending on project); Some good team members (depending on project and computer/analysis savvy); Unlimited sick leave

Cons

1) There are no raises -- especially those who start out at the higher end of the pay spectrum; 2) Benefits costs are not capped, so you will make less take-home pay three years after you start -- the highest amount you will ever make is in your first year; 3) In order for you to be promoted -- all you have to do is kiss the right backside -- but if you are a person of morals and have integrity, you will never be promoted, despite how great of a job you do; 4) There is much racism going on in the "off-shore" US sites; 5) There are no standards for documentation despite the company being ISO 9000; 6) The health benefits will cost you about $150/month and then you still have to pay out $3500 before the insurance company will pay for anything. So don't be fooled - the benefits are NOT beneficial to your health or well-being; 7) There are double standards for certain employees -- some are forced to do additional classwork (on their own time and at their own expense) but other teammates on the same contract are not required to do this; 8) CGI hires former client employees and then promotes them when they can't do the job (which is why they were let go from the client); 9) They hire many unskilled laborers to do jobs - but these jobs require a certain amount of skill, knowledge and ability -- and then expect you to teach them how to do the job; 10) No work-life balance as you will be assigned to projects where a 100 hour work week is the norm; 11) Your reviews will never be anything more than average -- while my client has raved about my work and said that there is no way for improvement, the boss will only give you a rating of 3 out of 5 (or "Meets Expectations").

Pros

not much . management is so disorganized , if you just keep quiet and fly under the radar you can earn a paycheck with doing very little actual work; like what happened on the healthcare debacle.

Cons

management is filled with people who really dont know what they are doing. Thye get the job because they are yes-men , brown nosers to whoever gives them the job. It is very cliqueish and almost just like a high school scoial scene.... yuck.

Pros

Good life and work balance. In-house leadership is very laid back. Promotions for non-exempt is better than other companies if one works hard.

Cons

Non exempt are pushed to the limit thus introducing high turn-over. Insurance offered is not the best for company this large. Communication is somewhat vague or lack of for exempt folks.
