Pros

You can friendly work environment and this also depends on the project and team members.

Cons

This is a full managers company and with the worst TL's I saw here. The manager never gives a hike of more than 4%. Changing the project internally is a very big headache. I saw many people loose their career growth here, the kind of work is like that. I don't see any benefits other than the package here, even if working in shifts also we won't get cab facility. Shift allowances are very low. Manager never reveals the benefits which you can avail of, he never approves you for an internet claim and many i saw like this.

Pros

Everyone is nice and considerate. People are willing to step out of their ways to help you.

Cons

Management can be very messy sometimes. Work tends to be very boring and slow. If you don't care about the type of work then sure go ahead and work at CGI. If you care about your career and the type of work you do, I'd avoid working at CGI. Compensation is very low compare to industry standards and management is not willing to talk about increase in compensation.

Politics and Favorism

Pros

You can advance if you are lucky. Great learning opportunity. Diverse and inclusion. Shares matching

Cons

Favoritism is played widely in the company, you will advance if you are liked regardless of the qualifications. Salaries are sub bar, also the insurance A legacy company that serves other legacy companies and hard to adopt new technologies. Advancement in this company is too little and too slow, they are of a mindset that you have to do the time before they can give you a chance to advance. Turnover is too high, talents tend to find out in the first couple of years they don't want to spend their career life in this company, so CGI ends up stuck with seniors that been there forever. A lot of talk about career development, but this is never transferred to reality. Good place if you are stuck, but if you have another choice go for it.
