Pros

Good people The company does software dev projects, but I was in infrastructure, working remote. I enjoyed working remote, and enjoyed the people I worked with.

Cons

Management has stated they are pushing as much off-shore as they can. I knew my job was being moved but hung on to make sure all the data was successfully migrated, but should have found another job months ago instead of waiting for their weak package (=6 weeks take home for 5 years) You need to be a mid-career developer or otherwise seasoned professional to make it here, and should expect weak life-work balance when on Project. Don't expect happy clients or to be able to sight see when on assignment, just like any other company who ships people around you'll be in offices no matter where you go. Travel and expense re-imbursements are quick and company card provided in your own name. Used to be really weak ed re-imbursement, but thats gone now. No Projects in California, California is in "lay-off mode" and if you get called back, and are not a seasoned professional programmer or other IT pro you'll be offered less if called back. No infrastructure jobs outside Canada and India (pretty soon) as they continue to consolidate resources. Company used to be AMS, and fell by the way-side as they hung onto older programming languages in the early nineties, but found a resurgence after being bought by CGI, a Canadian IT Consultancy and Development firm. AMS is now normalized to CGI's management frameworks and style, but lacks industry recognition as they were late to the table and lost market share, but continue to be competitive and get subbed into projects when they lose a pursuit. But they are highly organized at what they do. I just wish they'd kept me on the dance card and offered better educational opportunities as I am now unemployable until I re-train on the new versions of the packages I support.
