Pros

Good salary ,a great place to learn and to start your career.A very relaxed and friendly environment most of the time. Great health benefits and other interesting ones. A great place to make a name for yourself. Free coffee.

Cons

Lack of communication; sometimes poor leadership and blind trust in dishonest people and negligance towards hard working people. Stressful environment. There is some bad planning and poor trainning. It is also a relaxed environment but some people take advantage of it. There should be more discipline but by adding balance not by turning into a sweat shop.

Pros

It's a good place to start off and build entry and mid level experience. Generally flexible work schedules allow for reasonable work/life balance. Pay is fair but not extraordinary. Company has experienced steady growth and is generally stable/safe place to work. I work in an excellent but small group within the broader company. There are pockets of greatness and some areas of weakness/mediocrity. If you are looking for a job here, shop around within CGI carefully.

Cons

Difficult to move beyond mid-level management. Not much opportunity to do work 'outside the mold' or take risks. Pay is not very competitive, especially in the DC metro area.

Pros

Its a large company that can give you a lot, for example training and even benefits. They have a lot of good managers that are willing to listen to your goals and aspirations.

Cons

You have to push to advance in any direction. You have to push to advance your career goals and to get training. Hope that you get a good Manager otherwise career advancement and training could be put on hold. You need to push for Salary too, but I find that you may start a little lower, but if you do good work for them they will then reward you at your annual review
