Pros

Good company overall, great people to work with. Most of the product lines are very good, the benefits are pretty good, company vehicle that you can drive as a personal vehicle as well.

Cons

the upper management is out of touch with the field. They are being directed from owners in Italy (Fiat Industrial) that believe that fear is the best way to run an organization. They don't want to hear what the realities are in the field. Things like Kubota and Mahindra have penetrated the dealer network because CNH can't deliver product in a timely manner, which has allowed our competition to convince our dealers they can deliver inventory in a few weeks, when it takes CNH months if at all. unfortunately this is the reality that the upper management will not address.

Pros

The 401k matching plan is great. Engineering projects allow individuals a lot of ownership and responsibility. Design engineers with CNH have a good opportunity to a hands on involvement with their respective projects.

Cons

Potential to move up into different positions within the same group is limited. Product design and decisions are dictated by marketing which severely limits the testing and engineering of new concepts. General cost of living, salary increases and promotions are rare.

Pros

Decent pay for a manufacturing company, but it is union so that makes a difference. The health benefits are very good and has one of the strongest pensions around. Generally got a 3-day weekend which gave you enough time to recover from all the weeks B.S. and physical nature of the work there.

Cons

After a work history of approximately 20 years, I was hired on at CASE-Fargo. I really thought that this place was the answer and I could not of been more WRONG in my whole life. This place hid there intentions very well during hiring and a little ways thru the probationary period, but management showed their true colors after a few days. The absolute disregard for workers was clearly evident as management just walked by with their serious faces and would only talk to you if you stopped the line because you were falling behind with no help or support. I would say that most of my co-workers were very hard workers and I enjoyed working along side most, but if you did to much the supervisor would make you his personal gitter-done boy! I saw it happen to a few good guys and it made me kinda upset on how they were led around. And THERE IS NO STANDING AROUND FOR ANY PERIOD OVER ONE SECOND....This place INSISTS you should be busy at ALL TIMES! You can't have any FUN at this place PERIOD!!!! And in closing I heard a reference about the company, from 2 different people on seperate occasions, both during my employment and then post employment. They both called it the BEST part-time job in North Dakota! It is absolutely true. During my tenure I had quite a few week here and a week there off. And then was permanently laid off and the bittersweet end. If you think your going to have a long satisfying career at this place, I would bet against you....sorry.
