Pros

The 401k plan is the only reason I still work here. If they were to take that away, I know a lot of my fellow coworkers would be gone in a flash.

Cons

No raises - period. I'm working with multiple individuals who haven't seen a raise in over 7 years!!! Don't even ask for a cost of living adjustment. You're a whipping post, with no praise or acknowledgment of a job well done. Just more, more, more work.

Pros

If you like micro-management style this is the place to work.

Cons

Worked at CNH for over 20 years. CNH was bought out by Fiat three years ago. During the last few years the work atmosphere in the company's software engineering has degraded to an unprofessional level.

Pros

Great people work at this company. The product line is great and the industries it participates in are awesome. The 401K matching contribution and annual lump sum contribution payment is second to none. The opportunities to interact with colleagues globally is rewarding and provides a great opportunity for personal and professional growth. Since many people are working multiple jobs due to attrition and mass exodus of employees with no replacements, there is no shortage of learning opportunities.

Cons

The compensation philosophy basically states that you will never get a raise if you earn an average wage. They spent years convincing employees that financial rewards and growth will come through a generous bonus program that all but disappeared the last two years. Of course if you are the CEO, you will still get a $28 million well earned and well deserved bonus even though the stock price has been tanking, but ordinary employees are basically worthless and expendable. CNH treats it suppliers equally bad, withholding payments from them for weeks at the end of every quarter.
