      Pros

      The people are the really the best reason to work at CallisonRTKL; very friendly and laid back

      Cons

      Work is very repetitive, cut and paste and not enough time is given to produce quality documents; Type of projects available make it very hard to actually learn vital skills for architectural development

      Pros

      The people I work with are some of the best in the industry. They are encouraged to push the boundaries. Management is doing better about supporting the staff.

      Pros

      Large capable firm with generally good resources and a wide variety of experience opportunities. Chicago office has a very friendly work environment and overall positive and supportive culture..Benefits are on par with expectations.

      Cons

      Somewhat unstable at times. Depth of skill in some studios was lacking - which impacted the growth opportunities for younger employees (ie lacked good examples, robust mentoring) and hampered the direction of leadership to accomplish ambitious tasks. Bonus structure was arcane and difficult for employees to understand. For example, eligibility for bonus in the first year based on time of hire was not adequately explained. Advancement for design staff is much more readily available than advancement to staff assigned technical duties.
