      Pros

      Opportunities to work on large, international projects. Good benefits and lots of PTO. Supports professional development by paying for exams and giving bonuses. Beautiful office space. In general, great people to work with.

      Cons

      Virtually no women in architecture/design senior leadership and management roles. This leads to lack of mentors and sponsors for young women looking to advance their careers within the firm. Majority of women eventually move on to other firms after watching all their male peers get promoted around them. This is a huge problem in the profession in general but particularly bad at CallisonRTKL.

      Pros

      Depending on your department you can get some great coworkers. Good office location, generally good hours, and a lot of resources for people just starting out. Some seriously smart and talented people work there and everyone is generally friendly.

      Cons

      Once you are done starting out its not worth it to stay. There is no clear path for growth or salary increases, and honestly the internal system seems set up to obscure any path for growth. You are just wanted for your labor and not to grow as a career.

      Pros

      I have been able to learn a lot about architecture since I have been here. Office culture is good and is getting better. Benefits have improved over the years. Work-life balance is improving, however, when there are deadlines, the balance goes away.

      Cons

      Some of the challenges are making sure the right staff is hired with the right skillsets. Sometimes companies hire warm bodies, and that is not always a good thing.
