Pros

A large enterprise that was focused on goals, not egos and bureaucracy. The management was easy to work with and allowed professionals to work with autonomy.

Cons

Heavily staffed with contractors. Getting a position as a CAT employee is essentially impossible. The best talent at CAT was contract and that was preferable to make things easier for managers-no annual reviews etc.

Pros

Compensation is good. Has advancement opportunity but the same problems as many larger companies - getting yourself noticed by the 'right' people can be a challenge.

Cons

Still strongly anchored in the good-ol'-boys-club environment. Must be able to ingratiate yourself with the right group to further your career.

Pros

Employee friendly, good environment for building future leaders, employee loyalty strong, opportunity to work across the globe in various roles encouraged as part of professional growth

Cons

Change hard to manage due to size and stakeholders working in silos with short term focus of meeting metrics by managing them.
