Pros
As a leader in the industry, Caterpillar is challenging enough, has a lot of experienced people and in my case, I have found support in them as I continue learning. In less than a year I've been trained in specialized topics by the company experts as well as few support travels for continuous learning.
Cons
Salary can be better in other places but it will depend what you want, money or to be part of a world top class company. Sometimes information is not shared to everyone even it's not classified, they treat EVERYTHING as if any competitor may use it against.
