Pros

• Strong brand recognition and a respected name in the insurance industry. • Exposure to global operations and diverse types of work. • Some genuinely talented and hardworking colleagues.

Cons

• Toxic work culture: Leadership often ignores employee feedback and fails to foster a supportive or collaborative environment. • Overworked and underpaid: Heavy workloads with unrealistic expectations, but compensation does not match the level of responsibility or time required. • No career growth: Despite consistent performance, promotions are routinely passed over — in my case, three years in a row — with little transparency about criteria or advancement paths. • Low morale: High turnover and burnout are common, with limited acknowledgment or recognition for hard work. • Lack of work-life balance: Long hours are the norm, and taking time off is often discouraged or penalized indirectly.

Toxic Culture

Business Outlook

Pros

Potential for internal opportunities if you are in contact with the correct people within the company

Cons

Management thrives on a fear based culture where the constant underlying threat of job security is used to severely handicap the work/life balance. Departments throughout the company have a low moral and distrust of each other because the toxic culture is too prominent starting from higher management down to dept leads.

Pros

- Decent pay compared to industry average for comparable roles - Good benefits (401k % Matching, HSA, Employee Stock Purchasing Program)

Cons

- Required 4-5 days in office every week despite stellar company and division performance. Exceptions granted to full-time RTO also seem arbitrarily decided - Low raises each year - Variable employee experience between different teams - Poor office structure with too few meeting rooms
