Pros

Entrepreneurial mentality Good pay Young, progressive culture - not a given in the industry They hire the smartest people in insurance, so you get to work around other top performers

Cons

Terrible technology. This is industry standard, but Chubb's systems are particularly old Poor training infrastructure for underwriters. The individual 1 on 1 coaching is fantastic, but you have to rely on other people rather than a good formal training program - I did not come in through Chubb's CAP program

Pros

Great benefits, generous PTO and vacation days

Cons

The culture in Operations has become tenuous and leadership does not value their staff. Lack of communication has become the norm and things of importance are learned second hand. Too many leaders on small teams causes conflicting information and conflicting messages. Communications from leadership are now the exception and employees are left to find out things on their own. There used to be a time where team meetings would encourage team bonding and strengthen work relationships. Team meetings are now non existent and information is sparse.
